In 2005, Flightstar moved to a larger hangar and ramp facility at the Cecil Commerce Center located on Cecil Field in Jacksonville, Florida (VQQ). The hangar easily accommodates up to six B727 and B737 aircraft under roof, in addition to larger aircraft such as the B757 and B767.
With the move to Cecil, Flightstar added the B757 to its maintenance platform portfolio which currently includes the DC9, MD80, B737 and B727 models of aircraft.
Flightstar performs maintenance and modification services for the B757 and in late 2005 was named by Precision Conversions (www.precisionconversions.com), as a modification center for Precision's 757-200PCF passenger-to-freighter conversion - currently the industry leader in B757 conversions.
